Leticia Alcuran

Leticia has been contributing to the marching arts circuit for over 25 years, performing, educating, designing, and adjudicating. She graduated from the California Institute of the Arts with a Bachelors in Fine Arts in Dance Performance & Choreography, then earned a full scholarship for the Jose Limon Dance Foundation New York Company’s Dancing as a Creative Act & Teaching Methods Intensive. Leticia has also earned a Progressing Ballet Techniques teaching certification and extensive training in Polynesian dance. Recently, she has received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Specializing in Expressive Arts Therapies at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 

Leticia has taught marching arts & dance with multiple groups all over Southern California and across the country, as well as working with scholastic and independent groups competing at WGI. She served as the Dance Department Director at Notre Dame High School developing the curriculum for the entire dance and guard program. 

She has enjoyed adjudicating winterguard, drums and winds as well as marching band and recently attended the WGI Judging academy. Aside from judging for WCWG Leticia has also adjudicated for several marching arts circuits nationwide including SJVCGPR, PPAACC, MM, WGASC, HWAA, FFCC, CWEA, SCSBOA, NWAPA and NSBA.

Leticia has earned WGI and DCI World Championship titles with Concord Blue Devils, Santa Clara Vanguard and Fantasia Independent World Winterguard. She continued to perform professionally in the Anaheim Disney Cast as the female visual lead in the Broadway Show Blast!, including the North American and Japan Tour. Her love for dance and theater carried over leading to more performance experiences including; Sea World, Disney, CalArts Next Dance Company, 2014 Billboards American Music Awards with Jennifer Lopez & Pitbull, and casting in Joshua Granell’s Peaches Christ Theater Productions. 

Leticia loves spending quality time with her niece and two adorable pugs.
