Cody Edwards

Cody Edwards of Austin, TX has been involved with the performing arts for more than 30 years, initially as a french horn player and subsequently as a guard performer, choreographer, director, designer, consultant, and judge.  He was a performer and staff member of multiple DCI, WGI, and BOA finalists, including The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Ascension Independent World Winterguard, Nolan Independent World and Independent A Winterguards, Cedar Park High School, and Vandegrift High School. Over the years his indoor and outdoor teams have been awarded 15 state championships; numerous silver and bronze medals; and WGI and BOA Regional Championships.  He was a member of Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Music Fraternity. Additionally, he danced professionally with the Chaddick Dance Theater and later served as rehearsal director.  

Mr. Edwards is proudly celebrating his 24th year in public education and currently works as an English Language Arts Curriculum Specialist where he provides professional development and curriculum implementation support for more than 250 secondary English Language Arts teachers.  He is a Teacher Consultant with the Heart of Texas Writing Project and a member of the Texas Color Guard Judges Association.
